The "Comeback kid" Jeff Ledford did just that. You saw him in our March showcase and read about his "coming out of retirement" story.  What a great story it was at his first event of the year.  Jeff showed up at the Cordova IHRA Division 5 points meet with his Bars Leaks, Muscle Motors Powered Top dragster and left with an Iron Man and a great start to his season.  Not only did he win the event, he probably would've made a clean sweep of the Cordova weekend except ...oops...he staged too deep in the semi finals of the "Warm Up race" and turned on the red light before the tree came down.  Don'tcha think you won enough Jeff.  Let someone else win will ya'.  He did manage to get the car staged five times in a row on Sunday and grabbed the IHRA Iron Man in Top Dragster.   Jeff states:  The car was flawless. Running 7.32's in the cool night air and running in the high 7.30's on Sunday in the heat.  Great job Jeff!

In the NMRA Columbus, OH event  Charlie Booze Jr. is still on a tear in Hot Street.  Scoring the win but lo and behold Max Gross was right there with a runner up.  Both cars going very low nines at almost 150 mph!

Vic Williams Nitrous combo gave those blower cars a run for their money in Pro 5.0  The Big block powered car scored a runner up traveling the 1/4 mile in 7.27 seconds @ 194.74 mph.

The First Annual Garden State Fun Ford weekend saw Billy Glidden grabbing the number one qualifying position in Street Outlaw at 7.156 193.71 mph.  Billy runner upped at the event.

But the big story was the other Glidden powered Pro Systems carbureted entry of Kenny Compton in Street Bandit.  Kenny was the number one qualifier at 8.744 (way in the eights!) and the event winner.  Wow, go Kenny!

O.K. that's all the updates I have, there were more promised photos and write-ups that never showed...so maybe next time.

Thanks for reading, we gotta get back at it.
